Recipe Portion Scaler Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Three Two One Global Ltd. If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.

2. About Recipe Portion Scaler

Recipe Portion Scaler is a recipe calculation and organisation utility for iPhone. It helps you scale ingredient quantities for different serving sizes. Features may include:

• entering original and desired servings;
• adding ingredients manually or pasting ingredient lists from the clipboard;
• reviewing and correcting parsed ingredients before importing;
• scaling whole numbers, decimals, fractions, mixed numbers and quantity ranges;
• converting supported common weight and volume units;
• Metric and US Customary measurement options;
• copying scaled ingredient lists;
• saving recipes locally, including search, rename, duplicate and delete;
• adding an optional recipe photo using Apple's photo picker; and
• an optional one-time lifetime unlock for unlimited saved recipes.

The App does not provide complete recipes, cooking instructions, nutritional calculations, calorie information, meal plans, personalised dietary advice, medical advice, allergy advice or food-safety advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you are not legally capable of doing so in your country, you may use the App only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required.

Purchases are processed through Apple and may be subject to Apple's purchasing controls and appropriate parent or guardian permission or supervision where applicable. An App Store content rating does not mean a child can independently enter into contracts or make purchases.

4. User-entered information and clipboard parsing

You are responsible for the recipe names, servings, ingredients, notes and photos you enter or import into the App.

Clipboard paste and ingredient parsing are convenience features. Parsing can misread text, miss ingredients, mis-split quantities/units or interpret formatting differently from what you intended. You must review and correct parsed ingredients before relying on them.

5. Calculation, conversion and measurement limitations

Scaled quantities, fraction handling, quantity ranges, rounding and unit conversions are computational aids only. Results can be affected by rounding, unsupported formats, ambiguous units, ingredient density differences and the difference between volume and weight measurements.

Unit conversions apply only to supported common weight and volume units. The App does not guarantee that every culinary unit, regional shorthand or irregular ingredient notation will convert correctly.

Volume-to-weight and weight-to-volume conversions depend on assumptions that may not match a particular ingredient's real density. You remain responsible for checking results before cooking, shopping or serving food.

6. Important disclaimer — not medical, nutritional or food-safety advice

Recipe Portion Scaler is a general recipe-scaling and measurement utility. It does not provide medical advice, nutritional advice, dietary advice, allergy advice, food-safety advice, diagnosis, treatment or healthcare guidance.

The App does not determine whether food is allergen-free, safe, healthy, nutritionally appropriate, suitable during pregnancy, suitable for a medical condition, suitable with medication or suitable for a particular dietary restriction.

The App does not verify allergens or cross-contamination, food freshness, contamination, safe cooking temperatures, cooking or storage times, calories, macros, micronutrients, or medical or dietary suitability.

You remain responsible for checking ingredient information, allergens, preparation instructions, cooking temperatures and appropriate food-safety guidance from reliable sources.

7. Local data and risk of data loss

Recipes and optional photos are stored locally on your device. There is no Recipe Portion Scaler account and no Three Two One Global cloud recipe backup.

If you delete the App, clear App data, lose or replace your device, or experience device failure without a usable device backup, your local recipes may be permanently lost. We cannot remotely recover them.

8. Lifetime purchase for unlimited saved recipes

The free version currently allows up to five locally saved recipes. An optional paid upgrade unlocks unlimited saved recipes.

The paid product is a one-time non-consumable lifetime unlock. It is not an automatically renewing subscription. There is no weekly, monthly or annual subscription for this unlock in the current offering described in these Terms.

Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store and associated with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Prices are displayed by the App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by storefront and applicable tax.

"Lifetime" means access to the relevant purchased features for the supported lifetime of the App, not your lifetime or a guarantee that the App will be available forever. This does not limit rights you may have under mandatory consumer law.

Apple processes payments and refund requests. We cannot issue an App Store refund directly. You can request support or a refund from Apple subject to Apple's policies and your legal rights.

9. Restore Purchases and RevenueCat

The App includes a Restore Purchases function and uses RevenueCat to help manage purchase status and entitlements. Restoration depends on Apple, RevenueCat, the Apple Account used for the original purchase, network availability and the product remaining identifiable.

Contact us if a valid purchase does not restore after you have confirmed the correct Apple Account is in use.

10. Intellectual property and your content

The App, its software, design, branding and original content are owned by or licensed to Three Two One Global and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App as permitted by the App Store and these Terms.

You retain rights in recipe text and photos you enter or select, subject to any third-party rights in that content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use content you add to the App.

No right is granted to use the Three Two One Global, Recipe Portion Scaler or Recipe Scaler names, logos or branding except as necessary to use the App normally.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the App unlawfully or to harm, threaten or violate the rights of another person;
• attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer or bypass the App's security or purchase controls except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• misrepresent scaled results as professional nutritional, medical, allergy or food-safety advice; or
• use the App in any way that abuses Apple platform services.

12. Service availability

We may maintain, update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the App. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every future iOS version, or permanent availability of every feature.

13. Third-party services and Apple

The App relies on third-party services, including Apple (App Store, StoreKit / In-App Purchase, photo picker and device OS features) and RevenueCat (purchase and entitlement management). Those services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Recipe Portion Scaler is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or RevenueCat except as required to identify those service providers.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory UK consumer rights.

Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms, losses caused by events outside our reasonable control (including Apple platform changes), device data loss where local storage is deleted or unavailable, or cooking, shopping or dietary decisions made in reliance on App calculations.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory statutory rights.

15. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete it through iOS. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, unlawful use, security risks, material breach of these Terms or a legal requirement.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms when the App, law or our services change. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App or on our website. If a change materially affects your rights and applicable law requires consent, we will seek that consent where required.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also retain the protection of mandatory laws in the country where you live and may be entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from using an applicable consumer dispute process or regulator.
