PregnancyJournal Privacy Policy

1. Information you add to the App

Depending on how you use PregnancyJournal, you may add information including:

• pregnancy dates, due-date estimates and pregnancy status;
• mood, energy, symptoms and daily check-ins;
• diary notes, milestones, appointments, questions and checklists;
• personal measurements;
• photos, scans and captions; and
• reminder preferences and other App settings.

This information may include health-related or otherwise sensitive information. It is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage technologies. Three Two One Global does not receive or store this journal content on its servers.

Please avoid entering information about another identifiable person unless you have a lawful and appropriate reason to do so.

2. Photos and the photo library

If you choose to add a photo, the App uses Apple's photo picker to let you select it. The selected image is copied into the App's local storage. PregnancyJournal does not upload journal photos to Three Two One Global.

The App may create smaller local versions of an image for display. Image processing is performed on your device. The App is designed to remove embedded metadata such as EXIF and GPS data from processed copies.

You control whether to grant photo-library access through iOS. You can change permissions in your device settings, although doing so may limit photo features.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment-card details.

We use RevenueCat to manage products, purchase status and entitlements. Apple and RevenueCat may process information such as:

• an anonymous App User ID;
• product and transaction identifiers;
• purchase receipts;
• subscription, renewal and entitlement status;
• App Store region, platform and device-related information; and
• purchase-related diagnostic information.

We use this information to provide purchased features, restore purchases, prevent entitlement errors and support purchase-related enquiries. RevenueCat and Apple process information under their own privacy terms:

4. Notifications

If you enable reminders, PregnancyJournal schedules local notifications on your device. Reminder details are not sent to a Three Two One Global server. You can disable notifications in the App or in iOS Settings.

5. Face ID and device security

If Privacy Lock is available and you enable it, authentication is handled by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. PregnancyJournal does not receive or store your face image or biometric template. The App receives only the result of the authentication attempt.

6. Backups, exports and sharing

PregnancyJournal may let you create a local backup, PDF keepsake, appointment summary or other export. These files are generated locally.

You choose where an exported file is saved or shared through Apple's system interfaces. Once you export or share a file, it may be handled by Apple or by the destination service or person you select. Their privacy practices apply after the file leaves the App. Take particular care when sharing files containing health information, notes or photos.

PregnancyJournal does not provide automatic cloud backup or cloud synchronisation in the current version. Device backups managed by Apple may include App data depending on your iOS and iCloud backup settings; those backups are controlled by Apple and your device settings.

7. External links and information sources

The App includes links to external resources, including NHS information. Opening a link launches a browser or external website. The operator of that website may receive technical information normally sent by a browser, such as your IP address and browser details. External websites have their own privacy policies.

PregnancyJournal is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by the NHS.

8. Support communications

If you contact us for support, we will receive the information you choose to send, which may include your email address, message and attachments. Please do not send journal entries, medical records or sensitive photos unless they are genuinely necessary for your request.

We use support information to respond to you, investigate problems, protect the App and keep an appropriate record of the enquiry. We retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and any applicable legal obligations.

9. Analytics, advertising and tracking

The current version of PregnancyJournal does not include third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell your journal content or use it for targeted advertising.

Apple may provide developers with aggregated App Store and purchase information under Apple's own terms. RevenueCat provides purchase and entitlement information as described above.

10. How long information is kept

Local journal information remains on your device until you delete it in the App, delete the App, erase the device or restore/replace the App's data.

Deleting a journal in the App is intended to delete that journal's locally stored entries and associated local files. Because there is no PregnancyJournal account or Three Two One Global journal server, we cannot remotely access, recover or delete journal content from your device.

Information processed by Apple or RevenueCat is retained according to their policies and legal obligations. Support communications are retained as described in section 8.

11. Security and your responsibilities

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to a local-first app, but no device or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for:

• protecting your device and device passcode;
• deciding whether to enable Privacy Lock;
• keeping safe copies of any backup you choose to create; and
• checking the recipient before sharing an export.

If you lose, damage or replace your device without a usable device backup or PregnancyJournal backup, your local journal may not be recoverable.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information that an organisation holds about you, including rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to certain processing and to complain to a regulator.

Most journal information is held only on your device and is not accessible to us. You can view, edit, export or delete that information through the App. For purchase information handled through Apple or RevenueCat, you may also need to contact Apple or RevenueCat.

UK users can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk/, although we would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.

13. Children

PregnancyJournal is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through a Three Two One Global account or backend. The App does not ask for a date of birth. If you are not legally able to agree to these terms in your country, use the App only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian where required.

14. International processing

Your journal content remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it. Apple, RevenueCat and any service you choose when sharing an export may process information in other countries under their own terms and safeguards.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements or our practices. We will change the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App or on our website.
