This Privacy Policy explains how Mood Track: Mood Journal (the "App"), operated by Three Two One Global Ltd ("we", "us" or "our"), handles information when you use the App and related support pages on threetwooneglobal.com.
By downloading, installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Introduction
Mood Track: Mood Journal is a daily wellbeing and mood-tracking app. It helps you complete short daily check-ins, follow habits and daily missions, review a Lifestyle Score and progress insights, and optionally connect Apple Health. Mood Track is a general lifestyle tool — it is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
This policy describes what information the App may store or process, how that information is used, what may be transmitted to third parties, and the choices available to you.
2. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to users of the Mood Track: Mood Journal iOS application and visitors to related support, privacy and terms pages on threetwooneglobal.com.
The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies under local law).
3. Information Mood Track processes
Mood Track does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not operate a custom mood-journal cloud backend for syncing your check-ins.
Depending on how you use Mood Track, information may include:
- daily mood ratings and related wellbeing inputs (such as energy, motivation or drive, and stress);
- sleep, movement, nutrition, alcohol, sunlight and other lifestyle inputs you provide;
- habit tracking information and daily mission completion;
- Lifestyle Scores, pillar scores, progress information and related insights generated in the App;
- journal or free-text notes you choose to enter;
- streak, calendar and history information;
- reminder and notification preferences and other in-app settings;
- optional Apple Health information you authorise (see below);
- purchase and entitlement information processed by Apple and RevenueCat when you buy or restore Mood Track Pro; and
- limited product-analytics and technical information processed by PostHog (see below).
We distinguish between (a) mood, journal, habit, mission and progress content stored locally on your device, and (b) purchase, entitlement and limited product-analytics information processed off-device so paid features and product improvement can work.
4. Local app data
Most information you enter into Mood Track — including mood entries, journal content, habits, missions, Lifestyle Scores, progress information and settings — is stored locally on your iPhone as part of the App experience.
Three Two One Global does not operate a Mood Track account system that stores your journal content on our servers. Because there is no Mood Track cloud journal backend, we cannot remotely access, export, recover or delete your local check-ins from your device.
You can remove locally stored App data using Delete all data in Settings (see below), or by deleting the App from your device, subject to device and iCloud backup behaviour.
5. Optional Apple Health (HealthKit)
Apple Health integration is optional. Mood Track does not require Apple Health for core daily check-in features.
If you choose to connect Apple Health, the App may read only the HealthKit data types you authorise through Apple's permission prompts. Based on the current App implementation, Mood Track requests read access to:
- sleep analysis;
- step count;
- workouts; and
- resting heart rate.
The current App implementation does not request body-mass / weight HealthKit data.
HealthKit information is used on your device to support App functionality — for example to reduce manual entry, inform lifestyle calculations and personalise daily missions where relevant. Mood Track does not write data back to Apple Health.
We do not upload your HealthKit samples to Three Two One Global servers. Mood Track does not use HealthKit data for advertising and does not sell HealthKit data. You can change or revoke Health permissions at any time in the iOS Health app or in Mood Track settings.
Do not use Mood Track or Apple Health data as a substitute for professional medical advice. If you have health concerns, speak to a qualified healthcare professional.
6. Purchases, Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat
Mood Track offers optional Mood Track Pro purchases through the Apple App Store. Based on the current offering, Pro may be available as:
- a monthly auto-renewing subscription (App Store product identifier: moodtracker.monthly); and/or
- a one-time lifetime non-consumable purchase (App Store product identifier: moodtracker.lifetime).
Exact products, prices and availability are shown in the App and on the App Store before you purchase and may vary by region.
Payment is processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
We use RevenueCat to help manage products, purchase validation, subscription and lifetime entitlements, Premium access status and Restore Purchases. Apple and RevenueCat may process information such as:
- an anonymous app user / customer identifier;
- product and transaction identifiers;
- purchase receipts and related receipt information;
- subscription, lifetime-purchase and entitlement status;
- App Store region, platform and device-related technical information; and
- information used for purchase validation, restoration and fraud prevention.
We use this information to provide purchased features, restore purchases, prevent entitlement errors and support purchase-related enquiries. Purchase and entitlement information is separate from your locally stored mood journal content.
RevenueCat processes data under its own terms and privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Apple also processes purchase-related data under Apple's privacy terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
7. Product analytics (PostHog)
Mood Track uses PostHog as an active product-analytics provider so we can understand how the App is used and improve features, performance and reliability.
Based on the current App implementation:
- PostHog is configured to use PostHog's EU host (eu.i.posthog.com);
- analytics starts when the App launches;
- the App uses a Keychain-backed anonymous installation identifier (not IDFA);
- the App registers technical properties such as app name, platform, app version, build number and environment;
- session recording / session replay is disabled;
- automatic element-interaction capture is disabled;
- automatic screen-view capture is disabled; and
- automatic application-lifecycle capture is disabled in the current configuration.
PostHog may therefore process limited technical and product-usage information, including the installation identifier, those app properties, and product events the App deliberately sends through its analytics facade.
Based on the current product design and code path, Mood Track does not intentionally include journal text content or HealthKit sample values in analytics events. We do not use PostHog for behavioural advertising, and we have not identified IDFA or App Tracking Transparency-based advertising tracking in the current App implementation.
Product analytics is not the same as cross-app advertising tracking. PostHog acts as a service provider/processor on our behalf. Information is handled in accordance with PostHog's privacy practices: https://posthog.com/privacy
8. Notifications
Mood Track can send local reminders to help you complete daily check-ins. These are scheduled on your device. We do not use a separate push-notification marketing provider for Mood Track at this time.
You can enable or disable notifications in Mood Track settings and in your device notification settings.
9. How information is used
We use information to:
- provide daily mood tracking, Lifestyle Scores, missions, habit tracking, progress views and calendar history;
- save your preferences and reminder settings on your device;
- validate and manage Mood Track Pro purchases through Apple and RevenueCat;
- understand product usage and improve the App through limited PostHog analytics;
- respond to support requests you send us by email;
- operate, maintain and improve the App; and
- comply with legal obligations where applicable.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your journal content for behavioural advertising.
10. Data sharing and service providers
We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the App, including:
- Apple — App Store distribution, StoreKit payments, HealthKit permissions and device operating-system features;
- RevenueCat — purchase validation and entitlement management; and
- PostHog — limited product analytics.
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, or to protect rights, safety and security.
11. International processing
Apple, RevenueCat and PostHog may process information in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, United States or other countries. PostHog is configured to use an EU host for this App. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply under applicable law and the provider's terms.
12. Data retention
Mood, journal, habit, mission and progress information you enter generally remains on your device until you delete it with Delete all data, remove it through other in-App controls where available, or remove the App.
If you email us for support, we retain correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve your request and meet legal obligations.
Apple, RevenueCat and PostHog may retain purchase, entitlement and analytics records according to their own retention practices and legal requirements.
13. Deleting App data and your rights
Mood Track includes a built-in "Delete all data" control in Settings. When you confirm deletion, the App removes locally stored check-ins, Lifestyle Scores, health snapshots stored by the App, insights, weekly reports, lifestyle experiment records and related local preferences from this device, resets certain profile fields (such as streak and onboarding state), clears related local preference keys, and cancels pending local reminders. The in-App confirmation explains that this cannot be undone.
Delete all data does not cancel Mood Track Pro purchases or Apple subscriptions, does not change your Apple Account purchase history, and does not revoke Apple Health permissions in the iOS Health app. After deletion, the App may refresh purchase entitlement status so any active Pro access can continue to work. The current implementation also does not clear the Keychain-backed analytics installation identifier used with PostHog.
You can also delete locally stored Mood Track data by deleting the App from your device. If your device uses encrypted backups (for example iCloud Backup or device migration), your platform provider may include App data in backups according to your settings. We do not control those systems.
Revoking Apple Health permissions stops future HealthKit reads but does not by itself delete information already stored in the App.
Depending on applicable law (including UK data-protection law), you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability in respect of personal data we control, and to complain to a supervisory authority such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Because most journal content stays on your device, contact us for help with purchase, analytics or support-related personal data. For local App content, use Delete all data, other in-App controls where available, or delete the App.
14. Children's privacy
Mood Track is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age is required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
15. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a consumer wellbeing app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective and last-updated dates above. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.
